Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

The Sr. ServiceNow Developer will focus on developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions related to CMDB, CSDM, ITAM, ITSM and integrations, providing necessary support for process initiatives and cross functioning systems. This individual will collaborate directly with the team and stakeholders to implement new ServiceNow features to support the Configuration Management and ITAM capabilities to drive automation.

Responsibilities

    • Develops, integrates, and implements ServiceNow solutions including the development of ServiceNow workflows, forms, lists, business rules, UI components.
    • Attend and actively participate in all Agile-related meetings. Work within the Agile framework, including participating in User Story grooming sessions, Sprint Planning meetings, and retrospectives.
    • Designs, codes, debug, documents, deploys, and maintains solutions in a highly efficient and effective manner.

  • Design, development and maintenance of the CMDB database schema, tables and attributes.
  • Perform Unit testing for developed features, including edge cases.
  • Support development efforts to onboard complex technologies in the CMDB and ensure the inventory, dependencies and lifecycle data is accurately collected and maintained. Develop technical design documents for solutions developed and ensure compliance of the standards for design, development, testing and creation of supporting artifacts.
  • Performs data load, mapping, and transforming of external data for ad hoc or scheduled feeds.
  • Coordinates application and platform upgrades and migrations for the ITAM/Configuration Management modules to a unified instance.
  • Work with the CSDM Lead and CMDB Data Assurance and Compliance Lead to drive value of the CMDB throughout the organization including support of the Configuration Management standards and procedures, data quality, and use.
  • Participate in the agile and SDLC processes to define user stories, roadmap planning and supported artifacts. Development of new procedures and supports continuous improvement and delivery.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling or Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Analytics, Modeling or Reporting

Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in information technology or relevant field or additional working experience in lieu.

Preferred skills:
  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience in Information Technology, required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on development experience with ServiceNow including CMDB and ITAM.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with the ServiceNow Platform performing project implementations that utilize the platform's capabilities (discover, design, implement, and optimize) while delivering in an Agile framework. A working knowledge of SDLC, DevOps and Agile with experience working with Jira.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications preferred, with experience in ServiceNow scripting and workflow design, including JavaScript, Glide, and AngularJS, PowerShell or Python a plus. Working knowledge of Relational Database Systems with SQL, Graph QL a plus.
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations certification preferred.

The base pay for this position is generally between $102,000 and $155,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
