Overview
This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
Responsible for the strategic oversight and leadership of protective services for the company's Executive Leadership Team and the identification, assessment, and mitigation of physical threats to the company and associates.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve protection strategies, risk mitigation measures, threat management, violence prevention and intervention.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures for personnel protection operations, threat management and violence prevention and intervention.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for executives analyzing potential threats. Develop action plans to mitigate risks through preemptive security measures and response strategies.
- Utilize technology, intelligence sources, and skilled threat managers and analysts to monitor, assess, and manage threats.
- Lead and manage a team of personnel protection professionals and threat management staff ensuring effective security operations.
- Develop tailored security plans based on individual risk and threat profiles, travel itineraries, and anticipated public exposure.
- Oversee the planning and execution of security for executive travel (domestic and international), public appearances, and special events.
- Build and maintain relationships with law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and other external security providers.
- Ensure team members are continuously trained on the latest security protocols, threat management techniques, de-escalation, defensive tactics, emergency response, and technology.
- Establish and maintain a strong security presence, ensuring 24x7 readiness for any personnel protection needs.
- Develop, maintain, and test crisis management plans including evacuation and communication protocols for executives.
- Conduct exercises to ensure preparedness for a variety of situations.
- Oversee and remain current with the latest security technology, trends, and best practices on personnel protection, threat management, de-escalation, and emergency response.
- Provide regular reports on security posture and initiatives.
- Develop and manage a budget ensuring cost effective resources while maintaining appropriate security standards.
- Allocate resources and manage operational expenditures.

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years experience in Retail Bank or Corporate Security, including management OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years experience in Retail Bank or Corporate Security, including management
Additional Qualifications
Education and Training:
- Advanced training (preferably in a government setting) or certification in executive protection
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in personnel protection
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership position managing personnel protection.
- Proven record of managing personnel protection programs.
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, threat assessment methodologies, and emergency response.
- Strong leadership and team management
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Solid understanding of security technologies, protective strategies, and threat management.
- Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and manage crisis situations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 30% travel is required. Travel will be domestic and may include international.
