Overview

We are seeking a Director of Enterprise Data to lead the Data Governance Reporting and Data Issue Management functions within the Enterprise Data Governance organization. This is a founding role that will be pivotal in shaping and implementing robust data governance reporting and data issue management practices as part of a multi-year roadmap to transform data at First Citizens Bank. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading business, technical, and cross-functional teams as part of a large financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Define the vision, goals, objectives, roadmap, and execution plans for data governance reporting and data issue management functions.
• Build, lead, and mentor a cross-functional team.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and risk partners to ensure alignment and effective implementation of required practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain frameworks, standards, processes, and procedures related to data governance reporting and data issue management.
• Execute on tactical and strategic commitments as part of the roadmap to meet risk, audit, and regulatory commitments.
• Drive the design and implementation of strategic technology capabilities to scale, automate, and sustain data governance reporting and data issue management.
• Develop and manage metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress and maturity for data governance adoption, data quality, and data issue management.
• Communicate effectively with executive leadership, providing regular updates on initiatives, risks, and value delivery.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in data governance and management in financial services.
• Find opportunities for leveraging new technologies and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
