Overview

Develop and support core banking (lending and deposit domains) solutions and projects. Be responsible for all software aspects within the team including research, design, technology insertion, development, testing and support. Design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability. Oversee proactive maintenance on our existing applications within the core banking domain to ensure our mission critical systems remain stable, are able to scale as our business grows, and remain fit-for-purpose. Coordinate and assist with troubleshooting of code defects, data errors and configuration problems to determine the origin of application error. Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Drive departmental best practices, guidelines implementation and adherence to standards. Design and develop real-time integrations and file-based integrations. Optimize the use of database level processing. Build maintainable, well-documented, secure code. Provide complex technical support to data processing systems through enhancement of related software and processes. Develop software and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Analyze code tests and implement in coordination with management, associates, and end users. Serve as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. Perform a variety of actions that evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications. Use programming specifications to construct modules, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provide new feature time estimates for system changes and assists in implementing modifications. Execute test plans to validate application functions as designed. Collect data related to user requests and determine scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspect business specifications, programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Provide technical support to production systems by addressing reported issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Draft for system, end user, and operational purposes, including technical specifications and application designs. Be responsible for complex involvement in the software development life cycle including the creation, enhancement, implementation, and evaluation of software. Serve as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units. Provide 24/7 on-call support via monthly rotations. The position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or other related field plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience as a Technology Analyst, Systems Engineer, or a related occupation.

Requires ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a monthly rotating basis. Requires strong design and development experience with web applications and web services. Strong proficiency and hands on experience in design and development RDBMS architecture and performance tuning systems like Oracle, MS, SQL, or SQL Server. Requires experience working with information technology domain within Banking or Financial Services industry. Requires experience working in technology applications for wealth management domain. Requires experience working on third party application integration. Requires experience working on Operational Data Store or Data Warehouses using SQL Server Integration Services. Requires experience with systems implementation or conversion projects. Requires experience in DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools (Git, Gitlab, Jenkins or similar). Requires in-depth knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (Waterfall and Agile). Requires experience working on Agile projects and complete knowledge of day-to-day Agile routines. Requires strong experience in supporting business critical and complex applications. Require experience with XML technologies: XSLT, XPATH, DOM, SAX, JAXP, XSD, XQuery Namespaces and XML parsers and tools. Requires advanced experience with programming languages such as Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, HTML 5, XML, SQL Scripting, or Powershell Scripting. Requires advanced experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system. Requires advanced experience with ServiceNow or other information technology ticketing system. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens' Remote Work Guidelines policy.

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

The base pay for this position is generally between $132,080 to $149,382. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
