Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

The Data Platform Manager is responsible for overseeing Analytics, Unified Data Storage and Data Warehouse Platforms. This role will focus on managing, data platform technologies, data sourcing, integration, and consumption. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and analytics to ensure efficient and secure data workflows.

This person will collaborate closely with key partners in the Chief Data Office and throughout the business to understand data needs and facilitate data integration and consumption.

Responsibilities

• Analytics Platform: Build efficient and scalable environment to support machine learning models and well-integrated BI Tools effectively utilized by different business units.
• Unified Data Storage/Data Integration: Design and implement data integration strategies using ETL tools and technologies to consolidate data from multiple sources into a centralized repository.
• Data Warehouse Platform: Provide leadership to the data warehouse platform team, ensuring current and future needs for data storage, query performance and data analytics on MPP platform.
• Operations and Support: Collaborate with Operations and Support teams to implement best practices and processes for backup, recovery workload management and capacity for all data platforms
• Data Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement data strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Technical Leadership: Provides technical leadership to team members promoting best practices, provide guidance, address challenges and review progress toward individual and team goals.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and dashboards to monitor data quality, integration performance, and usage to make data driven recommendations on improvement.
• Documentation: Follows organizational standards and policies, maintains thorough documentation on data processes, workflows, and technical specifics to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

• Knowledge of database platforms and application designs that cross those platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and data modeling skills (logical, physical, semantic etc.,).
• Experience in technology infrastructure management.
• Experience leading data technology and delivery across multiple platforms (ex: Netezza, Infosphere, Denodo, Collibra, Snowflake, Tableau, PowerBI, Altyrex).
• Experience with Data Movement & Consumption (ETL, DataStage, Informatica).
• Experience building and sustaining credibility with business partners and leaders across an organization.
• Experience in developing custom software or frameworks for automation that can be adopted across data organization.
