Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
**Remote with ability to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona or Morristown, New Jersey, on an as needed basis.
The position is responsible for analyzing cryptographic environments and ensuring compliance with crypto standards and industry best practices. This role involves comprehensive evaluation of the organization's crypto posture, maintaining a detailed crypto bill of materials, and collaborating with application and service owners to ensure their crypto implementations are secure and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Regularly analyze scans and reports to assess the current cryptographic posture of the company. Identify vulnerabilities and areas needing improvement to enhance overall security.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive crypto bill of materials that details all cryptographic assets within the company.
- Work closely with application and service owners to ensure that all cryptographic implementations adhere to established crypto standards and industry best practices. Identify gaps and recommend solutions to achieve compliance.
- Create detailed metric reports and presentations that clearly communicate the status of the company's cryptographic environment to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with IT and security teams to distribute information about cryptographic best practices and compliance requirements. Assist in developing training materials and conducting educational sessions as needed.

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Information Security OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Information Security
Preferred degree discipline: Information Security, MIS, or other business analysis related degrees
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in creating detailed reports and presentations using tools like Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of cryptographic/PKI principles and practices is preferred but not required.
