Overview
This position manages a loan portfolio of problem relationships at an advanced level of difficulty. Evaluates credit risk, financial statements, and loan collateral to develop and execute resolution strategies. Approves modifications, renewals, or other status changes to restructure loans appropriately after evaluations. Coordinates with borrowers, legal counsel, and other key parties to resolve problem credits while minimizing losses. Communicates portfolio changes, maintains a strong knowledge of applicable regulations and policies, and performs service reviews to facilitate portfolio risk monitoring. May provide guidance for less experienced associates in the work group.

- Portfolio Management - Manages an assigned portfolio of advanced commercial, business, or Small Business Administration substandard graded relationships. Analyzes loans and supporting collateral to develop and execute a plan for resolution. Approves modifications and renewals. Identifies and documents troubled debt restructures, recommending status changes as appropriate. Works directly with borrowers, Bank counsel, and other appropriate parties to negotiate and resolve problem credits.
- Reporting - Monitors assigned portfolios to report losses or significant changes. Records all actions, conversations, and financial information in department portfolio or loan management system. Presents cases to Special Assets Committee as needed.
- Business Support - Manages credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal risks related to personal interactions, customer transactions and financial exposures. Performs service reviews including appropriate financial analysis, resolution strategy, and other service matrix information. May work assigned past due or pass grade loans, escalating unresolved past due loans for potential downgrade.
- Loan Proficiency - Stays current on regulations, compliance requirements, Bank policies, and procedures in order to provide appropriate service, analyze credit, and guide less experienced associates in resolution efforts.
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Commercial Resolution or Small Business Administration OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Commercial Resolution or Small Business Administration
