Overview
The Commercial Loan Specialist is responsible for managing to a high level of credit quality by providing expertise in structuring and documenting new and renewal commercial credits. Identifies and gathers relevant information to control the Bank's documentation risk as well as advising on appropriate loan and collateral structures compliant with loan policy, approved terms, and regulations. Acts as the liaison between Commercial Bankers, Credit Underwriters and Approvers, as well as with outside Professionals and internal partners. Provide oversight and administration of the construction loan process for assigned loans.
Responsibilities
- Loan Closing - Coordinates all aspects of the commercial loan closing process, and prepares all documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Bank standards and regulations. Collect due diligence needed to close loans in accordance with approval. Communicates and works with the appropriate party to resolve deficiencies.
- Loan Support - Engages all appropriate parties within the Bank as well as outside counsel and other 3rd party agents as required to ensure portfolios are supported with all necessary documentation, evaluations, and other crucial information.
- Risk Management - Identifies risk through review of loan documentation, approval, regulation, and policy requirements. Communicates identified risks and offers/facilitates solutions. Monitors construction process for assigned loans.
- Business Support - Assists management with additional tasks related to the commercial loan process as needed.

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Commercial Loan Documentation OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Commercial Loan Documentation
Preferred Area of Experience:
Paralegal support, customer service, or operations
Commercial Loan Documentation experience
