Overview
This position provides support for the Rail & Locomotive divisions of the Bank. You will contribute to the day-to- day operations, administration, and coordination of railcar repair schedules. As Associate, Car flow you will work closely with the repair network and other Bank departments to ensure efficient operations. Delivers routine established solutions to clients by assessing and understanding their needs while ensuring all credit decisions and programs provide value for both the client and the Bank. On the locomotive side, this role will assist with the oversight of quotes and renewals being navigated internally. It is expected that this role will devote 70% of their time to the Car Flow Group and 30% of their time to the Locomotive Group.

Responsibilities
Business Support:
- Rail - Coordinate repair activity to ensure proper car flow utilizing RAS repair SMART, Railinc DDCT and CIT systems. Initiate, update, and maintain car bad orders and other shopping events in repair SMART, DDCT and CIT systems. Follow cars through repairs shops to ensure that estimates, ERD's and invoices are entered accurately and in a timely manner. Review cycle times and production rates with the Data Analytics group to ensure proper car flow metering. Application of rental abatement.
- Locomotive - Respond to customer inquiries for locomotive leases, submit pricing requests internally, prepare proposals in Salesforce and work with Documentation to prepare lease documents.
- Rail - Be responsible for conducting and leading bi-monthly, or as necessary, shop production calls to maintain focus on current shop capacities and car flow requirements along with production and throughput. Point of contact for private car shops in CIT's shop network. Facilitate regulatory events and recalls within specified timeframes. Update Customer Service, Sales, and customers on car status. Consult with Mechanical Operations personnel to advise shop capacities and throughputs for Bad Orders, Tank Car Qualifications, Lease Returns, PMs, and Programs.
- Locomotive - Coordinate locomotive movements with Mechanical and Customer Service.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two years of Rail Mechanical experience OR a High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of Rail Mechanical experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Rail mechanical experience, understanding rail car maintenance processes and industry regulations.
- Experience with Repair Smart or RailInc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees, customers, and stakeholders.
