Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

Responsible for supporting First Citizens BancShares' Integrated Risk Solutions (IRS) team through strategic program guidance of the enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance platform and core capabilities. Support will focus on critical risk management processes primarily within Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management and Compliance. This role will help the foster mature risk management practices and processes in the first and second lines of defense through tactical planning conversations and the development of key business artifacts to assist in the evolution of the bank's GRC program. This position requires a high level of critical thinking and independent problem solving, in addition to effective communication and collaboration skills to successfully support business relationship management with associates.

Responsibilities

Work with various risk programs to develop and guide risk management maturity
  • Work with associates across the three lines, IRS Solutions Engineers, and IT associates to gather requirements and develop solutions on the GRC platforms
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog of solutions within your portfolio
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the GRC program
  • Assist with the coordination of the GRC roadmap
  • Develop and deliver communications to GRC users to help promote understanding of user of tool functionality


Participate in IRS Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Provide support for IRS projects through development of artifacts
  • Ensure project timelines are adequately scoped and met
  • Assist in the production of project health reporting within your portfolio
  • Participate in project calls, as needed, and serve as a liaison between IRS Solutions Engineers and business partners
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or Accounting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or Accounting

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to comprehend and translate complex business requirements into detailed artifacts, including business requirements, user stories and process flows
  • Proven problem solver with ability to provide in-depth analysis of complex problems, manage risk and make quick decisions
  • Keen sense for identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of various risk programs through process automation
  • Experience as a user or administrator within a GRC system (Archer, ProcessUnity, etc.)
  • Knowledge of various bank/government regulatory requirements and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional organization, analysis, decision making and problem resolution skills
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives
  • Advanced PC Skills including Microsoft Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
Other Preferred Qualifications:
  • Archer Certified Administrator certification

The base pay for this position is generally between $98,000 to $160,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
