Overview
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office in Jacksonville, FL, Raleigh, NC, Morristown, NJ.
This position is responsible for the planning, problem resolution, and advanced production support for multiple high-priority Bank applications. Provides expert guidance and mentorship on application technical support, maintenance, and enhancement. Installs, configures, and performs daily administration of vendor-supplied software. Monitors overall performance to identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Addresses failed components or technical issues and provides resolution. May oversee the work of less experienced associates and serves as a technical resource to wider business unit.

Responsibilities
- Technical Support - Leads efforts to implement, integrate, upgrade, and support technical systems that execute business applications. Responsible for assigned technical areas including LDAP, LINUX, WebSphere, data backups, and purging. Resolves complex problems and failures that occur in assigned applications and systems. Leads disaster recovery plans for assigned applications.
- Technical Expertise - Maintains a strong knowledge base of primary application, interface applications, and system integrations through ongoing research and education. Manages special or advanced technical projects. May provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to less experienced associates in the work group.
- System Testing - Develops and oversees a comprehensive testing plan. Investigates, analyzes, and determines user needs. Verifies the successful implementation of software, patches, and upgrades.
- System Enhancement - Utilizes end user feedback and requests to develop system improvements that impact applications. Determines solutions for known issues and business needs. Coordinates with interface applications and other business units to verify request definitions, then makes appropriate system configuration or parameter changes.
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Application Engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Application Engineering
Preferred skills
- Overall 6+ years of experience in Data engineering /ETL-ETL tools / Data governance domains with hands-on building, maintaining, and managing experience
- 4+ years' experience in Developing, maintaining & troubleshooting SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) multi-dimensional cubes.
- 4+ Years of development experience in ETL Code using Microsoft T-SQL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Experience in writing triggers, stored procedures, views, functions etc. using MS-SQL
- Extensive experience in using data modelling techniques for building Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, Marts using Kimble methods.
- Document ETL designs, structures, and processes. Expertise in documentation skills with MS word / MS Visio / MS Excel
- Work with team leads and architects to carry out assigned tasks.
- Document daily work items using Microsoft DevOps
- Experience in us CI/CD code deployment/source control procedures.
- Use of Agile methodology to manage backlog & sprints, track work in Azure DevOps/Jira tools.
- Production support as needed.
- Nice to have - Experience in BI tools like SSRS, Tableau, Power BI AND/OR Cloud data solutions like Snowflake, Data bricks AND/OR MDM solutions like Informatica.
