Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • The role is client-facing, with both existing and new clients, and requires a high level of technical expertise, problem management and investigative skills, as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of multiple technical project and support request from clients and internal, in accordance with specifications and budgeted scope.
  • Assists in the implementation of FINASTRA software solutions. The Project Manager is a member of the project team and reports to the Head of the Project Management team.
  • Efficiently and accurately execute deployment and configuration activities for continued customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Interact with stakeholders (customers, suppliers, management, project team members, portfolio staff and other stakeholders).
  • Enforce corporate project standards and methodologies to minimize risks, and regularly report on project progress, risks and mitigations.
  • Lead the technical investigation of reported project issues, providing appropriate resolution where possible and/or detailed analysis to the dependent teams and clients
  • Address issues and provide knowledge of integration between project and support teams.
  • Handover to the support team once the system is up and running and in a stable state.
  • Problem solving of technical issues during the project.
  • Record and resolve internal defects and product related issues with the product teams.
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation of procedures and system configuration.
  • Reviewing existing onboarding procedures for customers and improving them as necessary to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Support product managers and sales teams when additional expertise is required
  • Identify client and market opportunities with colleagues and drive realization

Required Technical Expertise:

  • Experience in Financial services (payments / AML / trading / network management), banks, fintech, SWIFT, ISO 20022 standards
  • Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and scripting
  • Working knowledge of JBoss and Tomcat
  • Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle, Ingres and knowledge in writing SQL queries for Oracle and/or Ingres
  • Working knowledge of (S)FTP / (WebSphere) MQ integration / OpenAPI

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree - Economics/Finance or equivalent experience.
  • More than 10 years of experience in finance-related project teams, preferably with banks or financial institutions
  • Dedicated, client-focused professional who can successfully plan and manage assigned projects
  • Ability to liaise directly with clients and manage projects independently
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and client requests simultaneously
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with project members and international colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively, manage scope and meet deadlines
