The Universal Banking Finastra Cloud is supported by a global cloud infrastructure leveraging Microsoft Azure technologies, system integrators and solution partners delivering Finastra Universal Banking solutions intended for the highest level of security, performance and operating excellence.

Application Technical Operations group will be responsible for monitoring and administrating end-to-end Cloud Core Banking solution for multiple customers around the world, ensuring Infrastructure & Application monitoring, implementing planned activities to upgrade the applications working collaboratively with multiple technical groups from Product, DevOps, Global Services and Customer Support.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior System Engineer - Monitoring Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring Management: Develop, configure, and manage monitoring solutions on platforms like Site24x7 and Grafana.
  • Continuous Observation: Continuously observe system performance and enable new monitors based on trends and business needs.
  • Infrastructure Management: Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Machines (Linux RHEL 8.x, 9.x, Windows Server) and PaaS services (storage accounts, key vaults, Azure Web App, ADF, Azure SQL databases) using DevOps pipelines.
  • Application Operations: Install and configure new releases, service packs, patches, and hot-fixes for Core Banking Solutions via Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Incident and Event Management: Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues and incidents in live or implementation client environments, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
  • Integration Management: Configure and maintain integrations of the Core Banking solution.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for operational task automation.
  • Access Management: Administer access management using Finastra Corporate Access Management tools.
  • Service Reviews: Participate in periodic service reviews, providing updates and recommendations for improvements.
  • Knowledge Management: Create, review, and update knowledge-based articles in the Application Operations repository.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Collect and evaluate application performance metrics, providing feedback to Product & QA teams.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation by adopting new cloud monitoring technologies and identifying operational tasks for monitoring and automating self-healing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Universal Banking business units to enhance monitoring practices and service improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on experience in public cloud infrastructure and services (preferably Microsoft Azure).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems (Win Server 2019, RHEL 8.X).
    • Experience with Azure cloud PaaS services (Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SQL, storage accounts, load balancers).
    • Knowledge of IT operations, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery architectures.
    • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
    • Expertise in monitoring platforms like Site24x7 and Grafana.
    • Experience in database technologies (Oracle, MS SQLServer, PostgreSQL), scripting languages (Perl, Python, Korn Shell, Windows batch), and middleware (Apache Tomcat, IIS Server, Java technologies, JBoss EAP).
    • Experience with DevOps technologies, preferably Azure DevOps.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on service delivery.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Agile and collaborative working style.
