Senior QA Engineer for Fusion Revenue Management team.

What will you contribute?

The Senior Quality Engineer creates and executes product test plans to ensure software products meet design specifications and product quality standards. Assists Development team with process improvements to improve product quality.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Your deliverables as a Senior Quality Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design and develop business test scenarios cases based on Requirements Document/ Functional Specification/Design documents/Use Case/User Stories.
• Convert customer business processes to detailed workflows
• Experience in testing integrated solutions
• Identify gaps in our test scenarios and document the gaps.
• Review Business Requirements / User stories / Functional Specification documents
• Review and provide feedback during User Story review/walkthrough meeting with Development / BA / QA.
• Document detailed test cases and test data for testing the functional change
• Prepare Test data and Plan and execute the test as per project timelines.
• Report detailed defects with all analysis.
• Work with development for defect recreation and fix re-testing.
• Help in continuously improving test cases and Regression test coverage
• Defect logging and follow up to its closure
• Highlight risks and Business Impact of failure reported during testing
• Provide feedback on the quality of the project/product release by analysing the failures.
• Mentoring juniors in the team.
• Contribute in Identifying and automating test scenarios.

• Banking domain experience is a must
• Hands on experience with tools like HP Quality centre, JIRA would be added advantage
• Expertise in Estimation and planning for testing projects.
• Understanding of test areas such as functional, system testing etc.
• Exposure to SQL.
• Exposure to WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ.
• Knowledge in Test automation; Expected to learn and work on test automation suite
• Should have flair for testing and quality improvement.
• Ability to write very clear bug reports easily understood by development.
• Should document the detailed Business Impact of failure test scenarios and evaluate the risk in product / project release.
• Excellent communication skills. Should be able to clearly communicate to cross functional teams like Development, Customer Services and Product Management.
• Experience in working on agile teams with TDD / BDD approach is a plus

• Engineering BE/B.Tech or equivalent.
• Should have worked for 5-8 years in testing banking applications
