Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test case based on Requirements Document/Design documents/Use Case/Functional Specs.
  • Design Test cases traceable to requirements/modification and achieve high level of requirements coverage
  • Execute test as per the product release plans
  • Report results during test design and execution
  • Participate in internal review of Test Case, Scenarios
  • Prepare Test data and test execution plan.
  • Help in continuously improving test cases and test coverage
  • Review Business Requirements and Functional Specifications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness and attend Walkthrough and demos to understand the features.
  • Defect logging and follow up to its closure
  • Meet the defined performance targets.

Required Skills and abilities

  • Worked in Agile Development methodology
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial Markets certification would be added advantage
  • Hands on experience with tools like Test director, ALM - Octane, Jira.
  • Financial Markets Domain skills to understand the product.
  • Strong quality and testing background,
  • Should have tested banking/trading/treasury/financial market/Asset/Portfolio Management / Wealth Managements applications.
  • Support in development with detailed test plans and test execution.
  • Ability to write clear bug reports easily understood by development.

Education/Experience

  • B. Tech / MBA (Finance)
  • Knowledge in one or more areas is must
    • Treasury (Foreign Exchange, Call & Notice, Deposits and Loans) & Back office
    • Capital Markets (Fixed Income, Equities)
    • Derivatives (SWAPS, OTC)
    • Private Wealth Management
  • 3 to 5 years for Quality Engineer (P2)
  • Should have a flair for testing and quality.
  • Excellent Problem solving
  • Creativity when it comes to development of test cases
