Responsibilities

Job Description/Responsibilities

Member of the Payments Operations Team. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.

Deploy and manage RHEL on Microsoft Azure and VMware environments.

Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Automate system administration tasks using Ansible.

Plan and execute migrations from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8.

Ensure system security and compliance with company policies.

Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure needs.

Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.

Work closely with the Implementation & product teams to explore & reuse tools/processes for effective delivery of customer requirements.

Should focus towards acquiring adequate understanding of the technical & functional aspects/flows of the implemented products within short span of time.

Be able to effectively participate in project discussions, provide project updates and identify risks with mitigation plans. Be flexible to learn, collaborate & contribute across teams.

The Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Must Have:

Overall experience of 10+ years.

Exposure to Payments domain is desirable.

Experience with Finastra payments products i.e., GPP or P2G is an added advantage.

Willingness to work in 24 X 7 shifts and provide On-call support on rotation including weekends.

Proven expertise as a Red Hat Linux Administrator Strong knowledge and 4+ years exposure to RHEL 7 and RHEL 8.

Experience with RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 migrations. Experience deploying RHEL on Azure and VMware.

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification Proficiency in automation tools, particularly Ansible.

Experience with middleware tools such as IBM MQ, WebLogic, JBoss, and Oracle DB is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Good to Have:

Experience in cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.

Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Knowledge of Java and supporting Java applications.

Technical consulting and implementation experience in client facing projects is an added advantage.
