Transform Cloud Banking Operations at Finastra

Our Universal Banking Cloud is built on a global infrastructure, supported by top-tier system integrators and solution partners to ensure security, scalability, and operational excellence.
As part of the Application Technical Operations group, you will play a critical role in monitoring and managing end-to-end cloud-based Core Banking solutions for multiple customers worldwide.
You'll work alongside Product, DevOps, Global Services, and Customer Support teams to ensure system reliability, application performance, and seamless integrations.

What You'll Do
As an Expert System Engineer (Cloud), your key responsibilities will include:
Cloud Infrastructure & Application Management
- Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Machines (Linux RHEL 8.x, 9.x, Windows Server) and PaaS services (Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, Azure Web App, ADF, Azure SQL databases) using DevOps pipelines.
- Install and configure updates, service packs, and patches for Core Banking Solutions via Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Configure and maintain integrations of the Core Banking Solution with other financial systems.
Monitoring, Incident Management & Security
- Investigate and resolve technical incidents in live and client environments, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs.
- Proactively monitor application performance and provide feedback to teams to ensure optimal system functioning.
- Manage and mitigate security risks, ensuring compliance with high availability and disaster recovery best practices.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Perl, Korn Shell, and Windows batch scripting to streamline operations.
- Drive innovation by integrating self-healing automation and new cloud monitoring technologies.
- Participate in service reviews, providing recommendations for continuous improvements and optimization.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Work closely with Finastra's Universal Banking teams to enhance monitoring practices and improve operational efficiency.
- Create and update knowledge articles in the Application Operations repository.
- Administer access controls using Finastra Corporate Access Management tools.
What You Bring
We welcome diverse perspectives and experiences. Ideally, you have:
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in public cloud infrastructure and services, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong expertise in Windows and Linux system administration (Win Server 2019, RHEL 8.X).
- Experience managing Azure cloud PaaS services (Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SQL, Storage Accounts, Load Balancers).
- Knowledge of high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR) architectures, and IT operations best practices.
- Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Site24x7 and Grafana.
- Hands-on experience with database technologies (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Proficiency in middleware (Apache Tomcat, IIS Server, JBoss EAP, Java technologies).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, preferably Azure DevOps.
