Who are we looking for?

As part of our Application Management Team based in Baden, Switzerland, we are looking for a motivated and self-directed Technical Application Manager who is looking forward to working in a dynamic team and be part of a successful and multicultural organization.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • The role is client-facing, with both existing and new clients, and requires a high level of technical expertise, problem management and investigative skills, as well as excellent communication skills
  • Responsible for the timely completion of multiple internal and external technical projects in accordance with specifications and budgeted scope
  • Efficiently and accurately execute deployment and configuration activities for continued customer satisfaction/retention
  • Enforce corporate project standards and methodologies to minimize risks
  • Regular reporting of project progress to the Head of Projects
  • Address issues and provide knowledge of integration between project and support teams
  • Problem solving of technical issues during the project
  • Record and resolve internal defects and product related issues with the product teams
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation of procedures and system configuration
  • Reviewing existing customer onboarding procedures and improving them as necessary to ensure effective service delivery
  • Support product managers and sales teams when additional expertise is required
  • Identify and mitigate project risks; escalate and resolve issues that impact project success

Required Technical Expertise:

  • Experience in Financial services, banks, fintech, SWIFT, ISO 20022 standards
  • Working knowledge of Linux or equivalent and knowledge of scripting
  • Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle, Ingres and good in writing SQL queries for Oracle and/or Ingres
  • Working knowledge of FTP / SFTP/ WebSphere MQ integration

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree - Economics/Finance or equivalent experience
  • More than 5 years of experience in finance-related project teams, preferably with banks or financial institutions
  • Dedicated, client-focused professional who can successfully plan and manage assigned projects
  • Ability to liaise directly with clients and manage projects individually
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to build working relationships with colleagues and project members
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively and independently
