The Role

The Vice President of Options Overlay Operations/Implementation will join the FAMS Investment Services team and become a key member of the SMA Option Overlay group responsible for designing, building, and managing the trading and operations process for the Option Overlay Platform. You will play a key role to develop net new capabilities, drive required technology development, and establish partnerships across the organization. You will develop operational processes for validating that client accounts and required data are ready for platform consumption, trades are executed correctly, identify any client account issues preventing the management of the accounts, and work across the organization to solve those issues.

The Value You Deliver

  • Design and development of operational processes to facilitate the management of SMA option overlay strategies
  • Work with technology to automate processes that can be scaled to support many individual accounts
  • Act as the point of contact for the investment team and business partners on operational needs
  • Manage day-to-day operational processes
  • Create an operations team to support SMA option overlays, as needed
  • Drive diversity of thought to improve and strengthen organization

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Experience with SMA support
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • CFA or progressing toward a plus
  • Ability to challenge the status quo to improve business results through new insights, concepts, and support models
  • Intellectual curiosity: have a genuine desire and ability to build more effective operations
  • Ability to drive solutions and sponsorship with senior leaders and investment professionals
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and designing processes from scratch
  • Experience with option support and/or trading
  • Proactive problem solver, ability to find resolution while effectively communicating with multiple stakeholders
  • Deadline driven and comfortable with accountability for complex processes and error resolution
  • Expertise in option trading operations support
  • Working knowledge of SMA management process and complex concepts and regulations o Margin, option eligibility requirements, cash management of overlay strategies
  • Expertise in leading projects and cross organizational teams to practical outcomes
  • Collaborative team player willing to think creatively to solve problems
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong program management acumen, ability to track and document work

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
