The Team

The leader of Real Estate Strategy and Planning collaborates across the Real Estate organization to create short-term and long-term strategies including the capital investment plan, real estate portfolio management, and strategic plans for hospitality, amenities, food, sustainability, and transportation.

The role requires a strong balance of transformational thinking along with robust transactional execution and reporting. This dynamic leader will lead and develop blue sky strategy with sound development of business cases managed by its program management team and measured by research and analytics across Real Estate to manage the business. To do this, the Vice President will lead quantitative and qualitative research to inform business needs, establish scorecards and drive key analytics.

This role reports to the Head of Fidelity Real Estate and will have a dedicated team including full-time and contractor resources.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Operations, Real Estate management or related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in strategy and planning, real estate, corporate strategy, or management consulting.
  • Shown ability developing and leading sophisticated critical initiatives, with experience delivering successful outcomes.
  • Experience applying creative frameworks to quickly innovate, improve and sustain impactful associate programs.
  • Experience managing large vendor relationships and budgets, driving KPIs and accountability for outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead data and analytics teams to deliver timely and impactful reporting and uncover trends and actionable insights to drive the business.
  • Ability to develop relationships to optimally collaborate with internal and external team members, across all global sites and in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to lead and encourage a team of associates and contractors.
  • Proven track record of delivering positive results through influence, partnership, and collaboration.
  • Formulate a broader multi-year plan, partnering with finance, to bring priorities together, demonstrating how sum of parts will achieve our goals.
  • Confidence and ability to apply financial and operational considerations to develop strategies and execution plans.
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications, storytelling, and presentation skills
  • Comfort and success working in a fast-paced culture with high visibility and many concurrent priorities and projects.
  • Ability to optimally message a clear strategic vision and influence partners throughout all levels of an organization.
  • High intellectual curiosity and analytical orientation, high aptitude for problem solving using both fact-based and hypothesis-driven approaches.
  • Proven strategic end-to-end business thinker, planning and decision-making; uses analytics to frame problems, opportunities, and solutions.

The Value You Deliver

  • Establish a comprehensive multiyear plan for our Real Estate strategy.
  • Partner with other real estate subject areas to align on priorities, develop solutions, and evolve programs.
  • Develop frameworks to support leadership decisions and integrate program experience to project future outcomes.
  • Drive teamwork and consistency across the Real Estate organization
  • Lead portfolio-wide projects and programs, as proper.
  • Lead a team of leaders and associates, focusing on goals setting, professional development, leadership, and ongoing communication.
  • Focus on financial stewardship: develop ways to increase asset value, decrease operating expenses, and prioritize capital spending.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to be onsite at Fidelity locations a minimum of to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
