The Role
Fidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) business unit help employers offer successful benefit programs to improve their employees' overall well-being. WI offers a broad range of integrated financial, health, and benefits solutions and provides innovative technology, strategic collaboration, outstanding service, and an engaging employee experience. WI is the market leader with ~35% market share serving ~29K employer clients & ~46M employees and administrating ~$4T in assets.
Establishing strong data integration between Fidelity's employer benefits offerings (e.g., 401(k)s, Stock Plan Services, emerging benefits) and other employer benefits providers (e.g., payroll/HR providers) is a strategic priority for Fidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) business unit. This will simplify the customer experience, reduce complexity, allow for a multi-product integrated experience, reduce costs/risks, and improve market competitiveness.

The VP of Data Partnerships will be responsible for establishing & developing partnerships with various employer benefits providers, especially payroll/HR providers, around data exchange & integration (e.g., API based integration, establishing data formats & standards), in a multi-product & multi-benefits manner. He/she will be responsible for identifying, fostering, developing, and finalizing business and data integration agreements. In addition, he/she will partner closely with client facing teams (sales, relationship management, and operations), clients, and product/technology teams to highlight and discuss data integration capabilities and data partnerships as appropriate.
This role will be part of the Data In Product Area and Data Domain within WI. They will report to the Data In Product Area Leader, partner closely with Data product/tech leaders, leaders within other product areas, sales, relationship management, and operations. The technical execution of the integration will be performed by appropriate products/technology teams within Data In Product Area and/or WI.
The Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred but not required
- 10 + years of combined experience in product partnerships, business development, sales, relationship management, product management, and/or contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with data integration & technology (e.g., APIs, data exchange technology, future technology direction)
- Experience in financial services, employer benefits ecosystem, retirement industry, and payroll/HR industry is a plus
- Strong communication, presentation and collaboration experience with clients, external partners, cross-company stakeholders and business partners

Specific job responsibilities include:
- Establish & develop partnerships with employer benefits providers (e.g., payroll/HR providers), especially around data exchange & integration (e.g., API based integration, establishing data formats & standards), in a multi-product & multi-benefits manner
- Partner with WI and Fidelity's product/technology leaders/teams, and client facing functions such as sales, relationship management, and operations to align partnership development with WI's business/product strategy and delivery/operational plans.
- Negotiate and sign partnership agreements in collaboration with above functions and vendor management.
