Position Description:
Analyzes and contributes to the designs of both Cloud Amazon Web Service (AWS) and on-premise applications. Develops the data and functional sourcing and mapping diagrams used as inputs to technology development and production support. Analyzes Application Programming Interface (APIs) (Rest/SOAP) and Databases (using SQL) to ensure compatibility with business and technology design requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works with business and technology partners to identify, review, define, interpret, and clarify scope of work in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes.
- Works in an Agile/SCRUM environment and adhering to methodologies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demo/retrospective meetings with technology partners and business stakeholders.
- Confers with software engineers/developers to design Web applications used by internal associates and financial professionals.
- Participates in software validation and troubleshooting. Develops technical system documentation including process flow diagrams, data mapping, and functional UI mapping.
- Analyzes user interfaces, APIs, and databases to ensure technology solutions satisfy business requirements.
- Contributes to user story refinement, story completion, and participates in all related Scrum events.
- Documents and communicates complex technical analysis and design concepts via JIRA stories.
- Contributes to the analysis strategy for technology projects culminating in the creation of documentation to support project needs.
- Recommends changes to existing systems design to achieve requirements and recommends designs for new systems based on requirements.
- Documents objectives, use cases, requirements, and specifications.
- Participates in the review and validation of Quality Assurance test plans to ensure requirements have been met.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics; Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) analyzing, documenting and communicating technical concepts and designs related to cloud (AWS) and on-premise financial services web products.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) analyzing, documenting and communicating technical concepts and designs related to cloud (AWS) and on-premise financial services web products.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") identifying, defining, and documenting systems requirements, translating business needs into technical design solutions, and creating design documents using Visio, Figma, and Confluence; and documenting end-to-end systems integrations via Process Flow diagrams by translating the analysis into JIRA/Agile stories that meet all acceptance and audit criteria.
- DE providing technical analysis of legacy and new customer internet applications developed using Angular, Java/Javascript, CSS, HTML, Spring/SpringBoot, REST, and SOAP; analyzing inline code and validations as well as application logs using Java; and performing testing and production support using Datadog and Splunk.
- DE performing technical analysis of both legacy and new backend databases by writing Oracle SQL queries; and executing data sourcing and mapping analysis for REST and SOAP services using Postman, Insomnia, and Excel.
- DE analyzing process and system architectures to support the design, development and testing of user interfaces for both on-premise and cloud (AWS) customer facing applications.
