Senior Software Engineer/Developer

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Oracle PL/SQL and Java based applications (automation test suites) using Cucumber and Serenity, within Information Technology (IT) and brokerage environments.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Oracle PL/SQL and Java based applications (automation test suites) using Cucumber and Serenity, within Information Technology (IT) and brokerage environments.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") participating in requirements gathering sessions with business and technology partners - product management, analysis, quality assurance, engineering, and architecture; defining functional and technical requirements using JIRA; creating knowledge management and architecture diagrams using Confluence; and developing brokerage and wealth management systems using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, SQL LOADER, UNIX, and Java.

DE participating in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) - performing defect tracking using X-ray; testing user entitlement and preference data from databases to applications using defined end points and SOAP; building REST Web Services using YAML and Spring Tool Suite; developing automation test suites using Java, Maven, Cucumber, and Serenity; and monitoring Cloud applications using Datadog and SPLUNK.

DE utilizing enterprise tools for project deliverables - JIRA, Confluence, HP ALM, Git / Stash, SQL Developer, SOAP UI, Jenkins, uDeploy, Postman, Insomnia, ICEDQ, Informatica MDM, and project methodologies - waterfall and agile.

DE defining the analysis strategy and project estimation for brokerage technology projects; applying brokerage domain knowledge - Order Entry, Positions, History, Multi-account constructs, Account Details and Profile, to create and manage analysis and specification documentation to support project needs.
