Position Description:

Develops applications and facilitates deployment using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and technical tools - Maven, Jenkins, UDeploy, Docker, GIT and gitflow. Designs, develops, and maintains SOAP and REST services using Java Programming with Spring Boot development. Designs and deploys innovative automated testing solutions. Implements the deployment of system features and monitors the integration using Cloud Platforms - Azure or AWS. Maintains the system throughout its lifecycle. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for projects supporting corporate initiatives.
  • Develops technical solutions to new and on-going development efforts.
  • Designs and develops APIs, applications, or subsystems for major projects across on-prem and cloud platforms.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for applications supporting corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for post-install application support and maintenance.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Works on complex assignments and multiple phases of a project.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing and maintaining scalable healthcare recordkeeping solutions using RESTful applications in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing and maintaining scalable healthcare recordkeeping solutions using RESTful applications in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Experience ("DE") writing and deploying RESTful applications to the Cloud using Java/J2EE, Spring boot framework, Kafka, or Azure Cloud.
  • DE designing and implementing solutions for Health Saving Accounts (HSAs) in a Quality Assurance production environment using Java or Azure Cloud technologies.
  • DE building and deploying applications in internal and external Cloud environments using Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure DevOps, or Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
  • DE breaking down tasks, writing technical stories based on requirements, and optimizing resource utilization in an Agile environment, using Jira/Jira Align, Confluence, Mural, Draw.IO, or MS Office applications.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
