Job Title Senior Manager, Competitive Insights
The Role
As part of the Workplace Investing's Competitive Intelligence and Market Insights Center of Excellence, this individual will be contributing external industry perspective and insights which will advise Workplace Investing's strategic priorities and help Fidelity compete in the marketplace. The role will be delivering research and analysis of products, markets, business strategy or industry trends that affect all aspects of Fidelity's Workplace business. The role will contribute to WI's success by supporting the synthesis of internal and external information sources to deliver actionable insights to business leaders, distribution partners, product teams and other internal and external clients.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Successful candidates will have strong critical thinking and analytical skills and be capable of turning data into insights:

• 5 years minimum of financial service research, data, and analytics experience
• Knowledgeable about market and competitive research approaches, sources, and techniques
• Ability to integrate best practices for research while ensuring all stakeholders have an opportunity for input.
• Ability to develop subject matter expertise and advise the business on the risks and impact of specific market and competitive developments
• Strong understanding of the Workplace Solution business
• Demonstrated experience supporting the collection, analysis, and presentation of project information to support program decision making
• Demonstrated experience supporting insight development and delivery of implications for the business (a "point of view" or "so what" - what does it mean for Fidelity)
• Demonstrated experience managing large data sets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence others and build relationships
• Effective meeting management skills and ability to bring discussions to closure with consensus, action items, and accountability for success
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including interacting with and influencing senior management

The Team
The Senior Manager will be a key contributor to the Competitive Insight COE and will develop both subject matter expertise in specific products. The individual will not only manage the success of individual listening posts/coverage areas, but also contribute to the broader team initiatives and the overall development of actionable WI insights. The WI landscape is hyper-competitive, and we play a key role in helping differentiate Fidelity from the competition and make informed strategic decisions. We are part of a broader WI Research, Insights & Thought Leadership group under Workplace Inclusion, Insights and Marketing that is committed to understanding the voice of our customers and the market.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
