Senior Full Stack Engineer
The Role
The FFIO Technology team is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their team to develop and maintain next generation billing and expense platforms in the cloud as part of a multiyear pivotal initiative to modernize and improve expense capabilities. The position is based in Westlake, Texas and will do hands on development and provide technical leadership and mentorship for junior members of the team.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- A solid and strong foundation in software engineering and design principles.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in server-side development with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Camel, JMS, Apache Kafka and Persistence frameworks (JPA/Hibernate) and experience with relational databases (Oracle)
- Experience with modern MV*/SPA JavaScript frameworks (Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, Rx JS), prefer Angular.
- Experience with API Design & Development and Microservices Architecture (Java, REST, Graph QL, NodeJS, Swagger)
- Strong foundations in design patterns and real time application of these in software development.
- Experience working in Kubernetes environments with strong focus on process and resource utilization/optimization.
- Strong foundational knowledge on GC algorithms and experience in tuning JVM parameters for optimal performance.
- Experience with Test automation (Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress) Unit, Integration and Functional Tests
- Have worked in an Agile software delivery environment in both a small team and independently.
- Understanding of AWS or other cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as ECS and Docker with some AWS experience or AWS Solution Architect Associate or Developer Associate certification preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and work on production issues utilizing various tools such as Splunk and Datadog
- Experience in design and development of solutions with object-oriented technologies.
- Knowledge/experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time.
- Passionate and committed to learning new things and developing with the latest technologies and frameworks.

The Team
Fidelity Fund Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting, and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.
