Job Description:

As a Sr. Financial Analyst you will support Fidelity Finance's transformation towards automation of our core processes. We rely on a cross-functional team to reinvent core processes with a digital first focus. We are looking for someone who is passionate about business intelligence, business requirements exploration and discovery, systems enhancements, data consumption processes and reporting. The successful candidate will represent the needs of the Finance, Accounting, Procurement and Tax functions. You will be a member of a team of analyst focused on ongoing business enhancements, driving the modernization of our Finance function and helping to transform how Finance and Accounting associates perform their roles in the future.

The Team

Working within the Enterprise Finance Shared Services group, your work will support the business in multiple ways including requirements gathering, enhancement testing, rollout & adoption. This team is responsible for driving technology and process improvements on behalf of the Finance, Accounting, Tax and Procurement functions. You will work closely with our project management team as well as technology partners applying Agile's best practices as the Business Liaison to enhance our current technology platform, while also helping to drive the implementation and adoption of new tools, process and technology within the business.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Ability to elicit and translate business needs into detailed requirements
  • Willingness to learn complex financial systems and multi-dimensional reporting tools (i.e., Oracle, Anaplan, Snowflake, Power BI etc.)
  • Ability to partner across multiple teams and business units
  • Ability to multi-task concurrently and meet tight deadlines
  • Apply critical thinking to existing processes and/or problems and propose opportunities for improvement.
  • Is intellectually curious and loves learning new skills and capabilities, e.g., Agile principles, new tools like Alteryx, and cloud technology platforms.
  • Experience with Agile methodology preferred
  • BS degree in Finance/Accounting, MIS or Liberal Arts, 5+ years knowledge and experience working with Business analysis experience for various systems and processes, solutions and vendors, MBA a plus, or equivalent experience.
  • Your experience working with and understanding the needs of business teams, leaders and related partners
  • Your ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement changes to improve business performance
  • Ability to learn quickly to understand key business unit drivers and business models.
  • Your Hands-on work style - "can do" attitude with a strong desire to make things happen
  • Your ability to assist users in executing on test scenarios and facilitate communication between the end user and technology teams
  • Your strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across different levels of the organization

The Value You Deliver

  • Collaborate with project managers and project team to determine project task estimates, deadlines, and deliverables, simultaneously working on several projects.
  • Lead/participate meetings with business partners to discover requirements, opportunities and suggested solutions
  • Support current and upcoming projects by providing detailed requirements with use cases while working as part of functional project team
  • Responsible for providing the end-to-end system support and administration for cloud and on prem tools
  • Partnering across Finance and Accounting functions to prioritize system enhancements, backlog and sprints, and project deliverables as required
  • Elicits, captures and interprets customer problems from multiple perspectives across projects or within a program
