The Role
Fidelity Institutional Compliance is looking for a Senior Compliance Advisor to cover Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) fixed income trading, underwriting, and operations desks. FCM is the trading arm of Fidelity Investments, executing equity, option, and fixed-income trades on behalf of institutional clients as well as many of Fidelity's other businesses.
As a member of the FCM Compliance team, you will provide a range of support to fixed income underwriting, trading, and sales desks within the Capital Markets business. The Senior Compliance Advisor will provide technical and interpretative guidance to FCM personnel and will collaborate with teams across FI Compliance and the broader Fidelity organization.

You will be responsible for:
- Providing ongoing advisory support to FCM fixed income trading, sales, underwriting, and operations desks.
- Creating and maintaining written supervisory procedures and compliance policies applicable to the team's coverage area.
- Facilitating the implementation of new or amended regulations.
- Collaborating with the FI Compliance Regulatory Management team in regulatory matters.
- Supporting the introduction of new products and service initiatives by providing advice and developing an appropriate supervisory infrastructure.
- Designing and delivering targeted training to business personnel.
- Tracking emerging regulatory issues that may impact the firm by analyzing relevant enforcement matters and being an active participant in relevant industry groups.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Prior experience in a fixed income trading environment and/or interaction with securities regulators.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following fixed income product areas: underwriting, trading, institutional sales, or trade reporting (TRACE/RTRS).
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to explain issues accurately and succinctly to compliance and business management.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Accountability and ownership of issues and initiatives, with an ability to independently exercise good judgment and see projects through to completion.
- Intellectual curiosity and sharp investigative skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence key decision makers through a combination of knowledge, reasoning and relationships.
The base salary range for this position is $81,000-$137,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
