The Role

In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work on cloud-native applications, develop APIs, enhance Analytics Calculation Engines, and contribute to data distribution and report development. Our platform handles billions of computations daily and is a critical tool for thousands of investment professionals across the firm.
The Expertise and Skills You Have
- Experience in the financial services industry with understanding of Portfolio Accounting, Portfolio Reference, Security Reference, Index, Performance and/or Attribution data.
- Proficiency in both front-end (JavaScript, Angular, etc.) and back-end (Java, Spring Boot, Python Flask, NumPy, Pandas, etc.) development.
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies, DEVOPS, CI/CD and microservices architecture.
- Experience building REST APIs for data consumption and distribution.
- Experience with relational database, such as Oracle, and Data warehouses such as Snowflake
- Experience being a tech-lead and enjoy mentoring other developers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

The Team
The FFIO technology team crafts and maintains technology solutions and products that enable FFIO to provide accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity businesses and fund shareholders. As part of FFIO, Performance Attribution team is responsible for the production of daily transaction-based attribution analytics at the holdings level for use by the application's multifaceted consumers who include Senior Investment Staff, Portfolio Managers, Chief Investment Officers, Research groups, Distribution Channels, Board of Trustees & Shareholders. We work closely with investment management teams to understand the investment process and drivers that support decision and formulate attribution models and analytics to support their needs.
We are organized as small, multi-functional squads delivering specific business & technology goals defined by the Tribes. The qualified candidate will collaborate with other members of the squad including attribution analysts in extending and modernizing the platform.
