Job Description:
We are looking for a technologist to join the Enterprise Infrastructure Production support team. In this role, you will provide production support for applications and infrastructure that are part of the Asset Management Business at Fidelity. Your key partners are the Asset Management Business teams, Asset Management Technology teams and teams within the Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations division. We are a customer obsessed production support team who continuously look for opportunities to drive efficiencies. We monitor, assess, and mitigate the business impact of production incidents and deploy code changes in production to enables new feature or functionalities. We analyze and fix application & batch issues by working in partnership with the Asset Management Technology teams. The Enterprise Infrastructure Production support is a global (24 x7) diverse team supporting the Production & Non-production environments for the Asset Management Business.

The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring
- 8+ years IT experience.
- Proven technical background with high degree of comfort with Linux, Oracle databases, AWS cloud, networking concepts, and ITSM-based methodologies.
- Experience working in a production support role and building reliability through observability and resiliency practices.
- Identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies, improvements and add value to reduce toil, improve customer experience.
- Experience working with a relational database system and cloud-based data warehouse platform like Snowflake to triage issues or research business requests.
- Experience with batch scheduling tools (e.g. Autosys/Control-M) and ETL processing to troubleshoot batch failures, long running processes and leading conversations to ensure cycles complete within the define SLA.
- Experience with automated deployment tools & techniques (Concourse, Jenkins, Udeploy)
- Nice to have experience with a scripting language (Python, Java, C++)
- Passion for technology and strong solving problems.
- Proactive mindset to identify opportunities to add value and drive efficiencies.
- Experience in automating manual processes using your scripting expertise.
- Leadership and technical skills to navigate production issues or customer requests effectively.
- Experience leading crisis or high impact incident calls to mitigate the issue and drive postmortem calls.
- Passion for improving team operations and training the team.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to solving problems.
- Expertise within IT Service Management processes and policies.
- Support a portfolio of critical applications running in a sophisticated, globally distributed environment.
- Apply technical expertise and leadership experience to improve stability, customer experience & identify solutions to challenging technical problems.
- Participates in an on-call rotation with other members of the team to provide outstanding support to our customers (weekend rotation required)
- Assists with the successful rollout of new products by coordinating the activities required for launch and ongoing support.
- Advocates for production stability and supportability by working directly with engineering teams to find opportunities for improvements.
