Principal Full Stack Engineer
The Role
Fidelity Wealth is looking for a hard-working Principal Full Stack Software Engineer to build and support our user experiences in the Lifetime Engagement Product Area (LTE). LTE works on Workplace + Retail (Brokerage & Wealth) experience development and rapid experimentation to drive conversion and address feature gaps for our customers. LTE is critical to enabling the Power of Three: a powerful force that's unlocked when our Wealth, Workplace Investing (WI) and Brokerage businesses come together to understand each other's businesses and eliminate friction to deliver a one Fidelity customer experience - no matter how our customers choose to engage with us.

Our engineering team is innovative, diverse, hardworking, and dedicated. We also work in a very dynamic agile environment. As a hands-on engineer, your primary role will be building, testing and engineering web applications using modern technologies like Angular, NodeJS, Graph QL, and REST APIs on AWS cloud. You will be encouraged to quickly gain understanding of all the components of our web applications and will work with the team to deliver outstanding solutions.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's / Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
- Outstanding problem-solving skills taking care of sophisticated distributed deployments
- 7+ years of experience (currently hands on) in Angular, NodeJS, HTML, CSS/SASS, GraphQL, Jasmine, Cypress.
- 5+ years of Responsive & Progressive Modern Web application development.
- 3+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC / Spring Core /JSP/ Web Services (REST/SOAP) and configuring web containers.
- Contributing to process-improvement initiatives to maximize velocity for the team
- Participating in problem solving, troubleshooting, performance turning, production support, and maintenance of existing applications
- Playing a key role in resolving technical roadblocks involving multiple technologies
- Good to understand Mono Repo and Nx workspace.
- Champion and advocate of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Unit testing using frameworks and tools like Jest and Jasmine
- Fully hands on with application builds and deploys using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, artifactory, uDeploy, etc.
- Good understanding of cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Ability to effectively coordinate the delivery of technical components across internal/external technical teams
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to more junior team members

The team partners with multiple teams across Fidelity to craft scalable end-to-end customer experiences delivered consistently across Fidelity. This includes enterprise stakeholders, Workplace Investing (WI), Fidelity Brokerage (FB) and Fidelity Wealth (FW) teams.
