Fidelity Institutional Technology (FI) is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join a squad, and work on emerging Managed & Advisory suite of applications. Your role as a Software Engineer within the team is to produce high-quality, testable, and reliably deployed code for sophisticated products and components. We want you to be motivated by having the autonomy to build and craft extraordinary solutions among a robust engineering team that will support your growth and development.

- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information System, or a related field.
- 10+ years of full stack software development experience with architecting, designing, building, and maintaining enterprise web and middle-tier internet facing web applications using Angular and core Java with Spring/Springboot.
- 2+ years of development experience (currently hands-on) in Angular, TypeScript, JSON, HTML, CSS.
- Experience with Managed Accounts is a plus.
- Strong experience building Single Page Applications (SPAs) and reusable web component using Angular framework.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful services using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Swagger, Docker, YAML, JSON.
- Experience with object-oriented programming principles and standard design patterns.
- Experience with developing and running end to end automation test scripts using like Cucumber, Serenity, Chrome driver, Cypress.
- Experience with building and maintaining unit tests and mock services using Jest, JUnit, Mockito unit testing framework.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS cloud deployment/application management.
- Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools such as GitHub.
- Experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk)
- Experience developing Spring Java batch solutions is a plus.
- Experience with Apigee/Stratum is a plus.
- Passionate about writing clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code with a test-first development approach.

Embedded within FIT, is the Managed & Advisory Solutions team, an integral part of the broader FI Wealth Management Domain, which is dedicated to the creation and support of products facilitating managed product distribution, both on and off the platform.
As a vital member of this dynamic team, your role within FIT will focus on providing robust systems analysis support for the high-paced Managed & Advisory Solutions team. Your contributions will extend beyond routine tasks, as you become a driving force in solving complex business challenges for our clients. Wearing multiple hats, you will orchestrate the coordination of development, spearhead solution design, and proactively embrace emerging technologies to enhance existing processes. Throughout, your keen analytical skills will ensure the accuracy and alignment of outputs with defined requirements, making a substantial impact on our organization.

Fidelity's hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Having the majority of our associates work onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture. We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most roles listed as Hybrid will require associates to work onsite all business days of every other week in a Fidelity office.
