The Role

Fidelity Investments is looking for a Principal Fullstack Engineer to join the Digital Security team within the Fidelity Brokerage business unit. The Digital Security organization is responsible for delivering appropriate security solutions to ensure enterprise resources are protected in a constantly evolving cyber-threat landscape.

The Digital Security team builds and supports authentication and identity management applications to facilitate secure access to Fidelity's customer facing systems. We operate through multiple channels including internet, voice and trusted partner sites providing both direct and federated authentication services. In addition, we support second factor authentication utilizing various out of band, knowledge based, and token verification methods.

We are looking for a Principal Fullstack Engineer to participate in a diverse array of development projects, and to demonstrate technical leadership on one of the multi factor authentication squads The squad works closely with architects, product and BU Stakeholders to develop modernized features for Fidelity Customers to authenticate using advanced technologies. Excellent communication, technical knowledge, and leadership will be key requirements in this role.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology discipline
  • 5+ years of software development experience, including implementation of enterprise solutions in a cloud environments.
  • Experience of working within an Agile environment.
  • You have a passion for technology and good engineering. You promote engineering standards within the engineering environment you work with.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following: Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, Spring Boot Maven, Jenkins, REST, and web technologies.
  • Experience with integrating with backend technologies for event driven development.
  • Have the ability to review code of others, coach and provide valuable comments.
  • Experience with developing complex flows integrating different components/services.
  • Experience with Automation including Unit, Regression and Performance
  • Knowledge of GIT, Jenkins.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC concepts.
  • Knowledge of Docker, K8S and Containers is a plus. Cloud managed KS experience is an big plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD and pipelines configuration - a plus
  • Understanding of Cloud Architecture, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS will be a plus. An experience with deploying workloads and VMs on cloud is another plus.
  • Proven experience implementing resilient solutions.
  • Proven experience using monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog or Splunk.
  • Experience with Cloud migration and AWS services including Kubernetes is desirable
  • Experience with JMeter & Junit.
  • Experience with Information Security domain is highly desired

  • You will deliver products that protects customers with focus on the best user experience.
  • You will be responsible for leading Engineering activities that involve environment build out, setting up new data feeds, clustering and load balancing activities using industry leading tools & technologies
  • You will be responsible for providing ongoing production support including incident, change and release management activities, including on call rotation
  • You will be responsible for technology lifecycle management activities
  • You will use well established Enterprise standards, processes and procedures to ensure Engineering activities are delivered in a timely fashion with high quality of work product
  • You will help lead and mentor the team in advocating and achieving engineering excellence across our product space.
  • You will support the Squad Lead with Technical decisions and help implement required actions

The Team

Digital Security team sets Fidelity's strategy, policy, and standards for the security of and operations in cyberspace. We focus on threat detection & reduction, vulnerability reduction, deterrence, international engagement, incident response, resiliency, and recovery policies and activities. This role is within the Software Development Chapter Area that supports the Fidelity Brokerage Product Lines in implementing & managing best-in-class Cybersecurity solutions to protect Fidelity Systems & Data.
