Position Description:
Automates the end-to-end application deployment process using build automation tools - Maven and Gradle. Performs version control and enables system automation by setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools - Jenkins, Stash, Concourse, Azure DevOps, and uDeploy. Performs configuration management and infrastructure management for hybrid Cloud platforms using Ansible, Chef, Docker, and CloudFormation. Improves application data management by using container orchestration technologies - Docker, Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). Configures and installs memory-cached databases - Redis.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Writes scripts to set up and maintain non-production and production environments/infrastructure.
- Enhances existing data integration processes.
- Develops and improves existing software automation processes.
- Confers with systems analysts and other software engineers/developers to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Develops software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Troubleshoots and debugs CI/CD issues on open-source platforms.
- Develops software system tests or validation procedures, programs, or documentation.
- Performs production support during critical times on security and performance insights on application platforms.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal DevOps Engineer (or closely related occupation) deploying or supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale and automating end-to-end application deployment process using build orchestration tools - Jenkins.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal DevOps Engineer (or closely related occupation) deploying or supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale and automating end-to-end application deployment process using build orchestration tools - Jenkins.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") performing automated provisioning, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Compute, Storage, Container, and Lambda; and orchestrating and designing Cloud services to host Web applications and automate the processes, using Cloud formation, Terraform, Route 53, and auto scaling.
- DE performing Airflow environment provisioning on Kubernetes cluster for data applications; setting up serverless infrastructure for internal AI projects using Lambda; and provisioning and maintaining search platforms (ElasticSearch) and enabling application logging and infrastructure monitors (disk, cpu, memory, and network traffic), using Datadog.
- DE performing containerization of MicroServices using Docker; deploying using Helm, Kubernetes, Hashicorp vault, and Nginx; provisioning infrastructure with Linux and Windows systems and installing the required components using Ansible playbooks; and configuring automated pipelines for applications to build, scan, test, and deploy as part of CI/CD process, using shared libraries developed in Groovy.
- DE performing development of automated scripts for regular/manual task using Shell, GO, and Python programming; configurating dashboards and alerts for cost insights on the resources using cloudability and Turbonomics; and performing disaster recovery and chaos testing using AWS fault injection simulator and Gremlin.
