Principal Data Engineer, Marketing Data, Orchestration and AdTech

Fidelity is embarking on a multi-year journey to establish an Enterprise product organization that will unify our Marketing and Communication Technology capabilities across Fidelity! We believe this unification in conjunction with investments in best of breed capabilities will transform Fidelity into a customer-backed, data-driven, digital-first and efficient Modern Marketer and Communicator.

We are looking for a Principal Data Engineer with a learning mindset who is passionate about using the latest technology, frameworks, and design patterns to solve challenging problems in the Marketing Technology space. You will be responsible for implementing software solutions and enabling partner technology to support customer data capabilities and paid media activation. We are on a mission to deliver best in class customer experiences with advertising and data technologies that are future proof.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 10+ years of Hands-on Software Development experience
  • Experience in working on Snowflake Data Cloud
  • 6+ years of Strong experience in design and delivery of Data Modeling, Views, Data Processing, Data Pipelines, ELT/ETL Aggregation, Data Lake, Data Sharing, and Data Engineering
  • Expertise in complex SQL, Python, Scripting, File Processing, Batch Processing
  • 2+ years of experience in system integration via SFT, APIs, Webhooks on AWS Cloud
  • Experience in building solutions with high Availability, Scalability, Performance, and Observability requirements
  • Experience on CI/CD, including branching strategies, automated deployments
  • Experience working in agile/scrum development
  • Understanding of Website tag management, online user tracking and digital analytics will be a plus
  • Understanding of Marketing, Advertising, SaaS Platforms, CDP is a plus
  • Strong communication skills across both business and technical communities
  • Certifications in Snowflake Data cloud platforms, Google Analytics, are a plus
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent

The Team

The Marketing Technology organization is looking to add to our core team of engineers. We focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences through various Marketing and Communication channels such as Web, Mobile App, email, Text, Push notification or Physical / Printed mail to name a few. We support multiple business units within Fidelity and send out millions of communications per month to our customers.
