Principal Data Analyst
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Analyst with a strong database background, and passion for understanding and improving on our data capabilities to deliver superior customer experiences. You will be working in a collaborative team environment spanning consumers across Personal and Workplace investing businesses. You will have a wealth of opportunities to develop, innovate and advance the data strategy in support of our Planning and Profiling Platforms.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Must have 10+ years of experience in the following areas -
- Demonstrated ability in data analytics, data warehousing and data visualization
- Proven experience in building Data Visualization dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Building Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data models (3NF) in a Relational database environment.
- Experience with Dimensional data modeling using Kimball modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in using Data modeling tools like Erwin or PowerDesigner.
- Experience with data governance, data quality initiatives and usage of tools like Alation and Collibra to drive data cataloging and data lineage.
- SQL proficiency for data manipulation, querying and profiling on cloud and on-premise database technologies - preferably Snowflake and Oracle
- Solutioning on Oracle development (PL/SQL) and/or Streams based development and data warehouses.
- Solutioning and development with any ETL technologies and building data pipelines.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data models, considering data quality, performance, and scalability.
- Ability to collaborate with data architects, data engineers, business analysts and stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall data strategy.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex data modeling concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in an Agile team setting (Kanban and/or SCRUM).
- AWS certification a strong plus
- Experience working in Financial Services industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with Fidelity's Wealth and Planning businesses across Retail and Workplace a plus.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience is required.
