Job Description:

Fidelity Institutional Wealth Management Services (FIWMS) is a division of Fidelity Investments that offers clearing and custody services; investment and technology products and solutions; institutional trading products, services, and execution; and a range of insights, expertise, and premier client experience to more than 13,500 financial intermediary firms and institutions. These entities include registered investment advisors (RIAs), strategic acquirers and professional asset managers, broker-dealers, bank and trust companies, insurance companies, and family offices and wealthy families.

The Role

The Implementation Project Manager, will ensure the seamless transition of Broker Dealers onto the FIWMS platform. This includes onboarding client relationships, monitoring the new relationships, and leading the overall process and conversion of assets to Fidelity. The Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of cross functional teams during the implementation process and act as a liaison between the client and Fidelity business partners to facilitate the onboarding event. The individual must be able to work effectively with all levels of management. The Implementation Project Manager, will be expected to manage mid to large-level projects, virtually or onsite, with minimal direction.

The Team

The Client Conversion Services (CCS) Project Management team within Client Experience supports the FIWMS business unit by managing the onboarding of RIAs, broker-dealers, banks and trust companies, insurance companies, family offices and wealthy families onto the Fidelity platform. This team is dedicated solely to client onboarding. The Project Management team works closely with Sales and Relationship Management, Product and Technology Specialists, Training Consultants, Deployment Consultants and Client Services.

The Expertise You Have

  • Series 7 required
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in financial services industry. Including experience in the institutional or high net worth client management or relationship building role
  • Strong knowledge of the Broker Dealer business segments, understanding of the industry, financial markets, and competitive influences
  • Experience with a full breadth of investment solutions, products and services provided to Fidelity clients

  • Provide central leadership for the planning, management, and execution throughout the project lifecycle
  • Organize and conduct project status meetings, including communicating project status to internal management, Fidelity business partners, outside vendors and the client
  • Maintain detailed project documentation
  • Lead discussions for critical path components that impact the event
  • Engage appropriate business partners or project stakeholders as needed
  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Recommend and implement improvements to current processes and procedures
  • Outstanding verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Solid understanding of Fidelity brokerage policy and procedures. Working knowledge of WealthscapeSM, FBSI, Salesforce and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of time

The Value You Deliver

  • Direct the overall conversion plan for new and existing clients. Analyze the source and determine best methods to achieve successful conversion
  • Analyze the procedures, products, and business practices of the client to align with FIWMS policies and procedures and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions and alternatives when necessary
  • Manage the overall client relationship during the onboarding experience, including setting appropriate client expectations and delivering on the customer experience index
  • Make recommendations on best practices and technology tool adoption
  • Work with the client to resolve issues
  • Lead mid to large-level projects with varying degrees of complexity
  • Assist with various pre-planning and execution tasks throughout the conversion

The base salary range for this position is $71,000-$120,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
