The Financial Analyst role provides an exciting opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the Financial Services industry and its underlying businesses. The position reports to the VP of Corporate Finance and performs an important role as part of the Corporate Finance team to improve core processes, drive the planning process for the firm and deliver actionable information and insights to senior leaders.

As the financial services industry continues to evolve there is a growing need for the business to understand the growth and efficiency drivers. The Financial Analyst will help drive this analysis, using the latest tools and technology and decomposing complex financial concepts for a senior audience.

The candidate will be a key contributor to the development of executive presentations which will be used across multiple forums and widely across the enterprise.

This role will provide an opportunity to work across the company and partner with all the finance teams across the firm.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • 3-5 years of financial reporting, planning & analysis experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel/PowerPoint) and business intelligence tools (PowerBI)
  • A self-motivated teammate who brings energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity
  • Keen ability to envision the "big picture" while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and working with detailed processes and data while working in sometimes ambiguous situations
  • Strong problem-solver with the proactive ability to "figure it out" through curiosity and consistent determination
  • Proven track record to simultaneously identify, prioritize, address multiple issues, and quickly respond to shifts in priorities
  • Demonstrated success communicating with impact and clarity, both in your written and verbal delivery, including follow-up

  • Partner with business units to drive the annual planning process, ensuring clear thoughtful guidelines and well defined processes
  • Providing ad hoc analysis to support senior management on key strategic and operational decisions
  • Be a key contributor to senior executive presentations, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and deep insights and creativity
  • Using tools and business knowledge to continuously improve upon existing processes and analysis

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
