Financial Analyst, Decision Support - Advanced Analytics
The Role
The Financial Analyst is a member of the IWMS Decision Support- Advanced Analytics team. IWMS offers clearing and custody services, technology products and solutions, brokerage and trading services, and a range of insights, expertise, and world-class client experience to financial intermediary firms and institutions. The primary objective of the role will be to support IWMS data visualization analytics and business partner analytics. This team helps drive growth in the business by:
- Develop analyses and shares insights with finance management and business partners
- Evaluate client and segment level trends to highlight emerging areas of strength or weakness across the IWMS business
- Support complex data requests and explore new data sets
- Develop efficiencies for the greater IWMS Finance team (FP&A and Pricing) through tool creation and data curation
- Enhance and create automated reporting & analytics views, including use of dashboards and data visualization tools
- Participate in the development of our analytical roadmap for IWMS

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics with a keen interest in data analytics
- 2+ years of professional experience in Financial Services with exposure to financial modeling and analysis
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint with experience in data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau. Experience using Alteryx highly desired, but not necessary.
- Outstanding critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to take initiative and is excited to seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approaches.
- Proven ability, flexibility, and resourcefulness to deliver in a deadline driven environment, having comfort with ambiguity.
- Confidence to work seamlessly in a highly matrixed environment, displaying the judgment to know when to partner with other teams.

- Synthesize data to draw conclusions on business questions
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and new insights
- Partner with finance and business partners to assure the delivery of exceptional analytics and decision support
- Leverage analytic tools (such as Alteryx, PowerBi, Tableau) to develop advanced analytics for our leaders and business partners
