Financial Analyst

This Financial Analyst role will be a member of the Workplace Investing (WI) Line Finance Team, a Center of Excellence (CoE) delivering impactful and insightful analysis to our business partners. The primary objective of the role will be to provide a broad range of analytics, financial management, FP&A, and strategic business partner support to drive improved outcomes and financial results to the Client & Participant Services (CAPS) organization. In a highly matrixed organization, you will partner closely with WI/HCG CoEs, including Costing, Decision Support & Analytics (DSA), and Pricing to support analytics around scaling/re-designing our cost structure, investment benefit realization, and ongoing pricing strategy.

The Client & Participant Services organization is a ~10k person organization responsible for delivering high quality client & customer services to Fidelity's 24k+ clients & 40M+ participants.

  • Bring good interpersonal skills that allow you to communicate and work effectively with all levels and business divisions
  • Proactively collaborate to understand WI's financial architecture and required data transformation to deliver impactful analysis and drive finance modernization efforts forward
  • Partner on high impact / high visibility projects & deliverables across WI/HCG
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, serving as a proxy for the business Finance VP/Sr. Director to various internal audiences
  • Find opportunities to streamline work processes and simplify models to work more efficiently and effectively
  • Perform ad-hoc projects to support requests from business and finance partners that inform operational decision making
  • Develop financial models and leverage enhanced forecasting techniques to support business decisions

The Expertise and Skills you Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysis
  • Financial services experience preferred; experience in benefits outsourcing (WI/HCG) a plus
  • Applicants must have strong analytical, communication, conceptual thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced experience with various software applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Thinkcell, etc.) and the ability to teach others
  • Experience building digital reporting using Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Knime, DOMO, Alteryx, etc.) a plus but not required
  • Ability to gain subject matter expertise and apply institutional knowledge to business decisions and quality analytics
  • Proven ability, flexibility, and resourcefulness to manage several priorities in a deadline driven environment, having comfort with ambiguity
  • Strong technical capability and attention to detail with a high degree of comfort leveraging large data sets to compile various expense views
  • Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
