The Role

Do you want to make a difference and be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team committed to providing expertise to address and support prioritized strategic business needs and enable successful execution?

As a Product Delivery Director, you will blend deep knowledge and practice of product strategy, product management expertise, and provide leadership to bridge between strategy and execution by connecting strategic objectives to business value. Leading teamwork efforts with partners, and colleagues to efficiently communicate the business vision, purpose, and objective, you will articulate and document an optimum approach for delivering a strategic objective's business value (with a focus on the 'what' is delivered vs. the 'how'). You will own the effort to model the decomposition of product capabilities and features as well as assist in leading initiatives with a diverse scope. And by also acting as the main interface between end users, product management, and the information technology organization, you will use your skills to influence a matrixed project team.

There are two primary principles of being a great Product Delivery Director in the Product Strategy and Solution Planning Center of Excellence:

• Strategy: Establish a focus on product vision, mission, and positioning. Defining product objectives and goals by conducting Discovery and Business Case assessments.

• Solution Planning: Demonstrate how capabilities, processes, organization, and information fit together to achieve objectives. Establish a focus on the 'what' is delivered vs. the 'how.'

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (STEM) required, Master's preferred

• Experience developing business cases and ability to facilitate incorporating business capability needs analysis into product development proposals and funding requests.

• Proven understanding of business models and how they relate to customer needs that translate into improved capabilities. Specific experience in financial services and/or brokerage business models is a plus.

• Proven leadership in various business analysis methodology skills and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, persona mapping, and product documentation.

• Proven ability to drive product strategy and vision through evaluation of business needs, market exploration, and ideation to enhance existing or incubate new offerings.

• Apply solution planning techniques including business capability mapping, value stream mapping, and business process modeling.

• Ability to facilitate diverse groups of people to move towards solutions while influencing key decision-makers based on analysis findings.

• Develop implementation strategies that account for organizational change, service model disruptions, client/customer environment impact points, and overall risk mitigation.

• Typically, > 7 years of experience working within a product management team focused on delivery, technology, and software development. Must possess good analytical skills and technical aptitude.

• Exceptional communication and influence skills

• Demonstrate a grow-and-learn mindset to advance skills and standards and approach the work with a constant learning curiosity to keep current and be able to keep your team current on skills by teaching/leading / sharing

The Team

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Fidelity Institutional (FI) Product Solutions and Strategy team's Center of Excellence (CoE) and work on strategies and business solutions to drive the FI business forward. The CoE partners with Domains and Product Area Leaders to deepen their product strategies and determine/organize business solution thinking in a structured way to accelerate future execution plans.

At Fidelity, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we are calling "Dynamic Working."
