The Role
The Director, Software Engineering will be working in development and delivery of high quality, timely and maintainable software solutions in an agile environment which meet functional and non-functional business requirements. We are looking for a design Lead with strong AWS & Azure Cloud with Java/Python hands on who will work in our core technology team partnering with business operations to technically solution for critical requirements of our path of modernization.
The design lead responsibilities include setting technical direction in concert with the overall product and technology strategy, determining thresholds and tolerances of systems and providing technical leadership to the teams.

- Designing and implementing technology solutions for the Employee compliance team.
- Working closely with our business partners to contribute to business-critical initiatives.
- Demonstrate software engineering excellence through continuous integration, continuous deployment.
- Keeps current with IT blueprint, frameworks and technologies that would benefit us and improve our productivity; guides junior team members on technology.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders/large cross functional teams as part of work delivery.
- Follows practices and contribute towards innovative solutions to increase productivity.
- Set technical direction for software developers by concluding design with other tech leads and architecture.
The Expertise and Skills you Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or any other discipline
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- ~14 years of experience in technology role
- Designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise compliance systems, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) & Microsoft Azure services.
- Experience in AWS services & Azure technologies and practices, building applications using services such as AWS EC2, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, Service bus.
- Demonstrated SaaS and IaaS design and implementation experience, including properly handling confidential and highly confidential data.
- Familiarity of LowCode Platform (PowerApps or similar) to weigh in before designing solutions.
- A well-grounded knowledge of engineering and continuous integration & delivery CI/CD practices.
- Experience with build containers-based systems: Architecture, implementation and managing orchestration platform such as: Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, AKS.
- 10+ years of successful technical solutions design and hands on experience in JAVA, Python & C# required.
- Strong hand-on experience designing cloud-native solutions, AWS & Azure preferred.
- Hands-on experience designing systems that use modern distributed Software Architecture Patterns.
- Experience working in an Agile engineering environment and able to lead SCRUM rituals.
- Ability to effectively relate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and articulating the business value of a given technical solution.
- Critical thinking and complex problem-solving ability required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills - ability to effectively communicate across internal and external business, engineering teams.
- Ability to lead & mentor others with varying levels of skill and expertise.
- To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify and negotiate system needs and work with cross-functional members to define & prioritize the scope of solutions that meet market needs.

Here at Enterprise Technology Software Engineering Domain (SWE), you will play a critical role of designing solutions & execution of critical projects in Employee Compliance Product Area. The individual will also have the opportunity to collaborate with extraordinary engineers from around the globe and to interact with senior management for communication and consultation purposes.
The successful Candidate for this role will become part of the Employee Compliance Technology group, working closely across multiple squads to streamline all the engineering best practices, continuous integration & delivery CI/CD practices across Employee compliance product Area.
