Position Description:

Mines customer databases to understand customer audiences, uncover behavioral patterns, and inform targeting strategies using R, Python, and SQL Builds technology platforms to enable mines of social media data for analytics and insights. Creates and maintains R, SQL, Snowflake and Salesforce servers on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. Collects data from disparate sources and builds data models, includes site analytics, digital media measurement, and social listens in an Agile environment. Designs, runs, analyzes, and interprets experimental test such as A/B Testing in order to translate analytical research into insights. Generates customer insights by leveraging a variety of analytical research approaches, includes customer, digital, and cross-channel analytics.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs primary research on and measures in-market tests by employees both quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Designs, runs, analyzes, and interprets experimental tests.
  • Maintains and develops analytical and research expertise.
  • Develops standards and scales self-serve data analytics, tests, and experimentation approaches.
  • Translates quantitative analyses and research finds into accessible visuals for non-technical audiences using a variety of data visualization tools.
  • Formulates and applies mathematical models.
  • Optimizes methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
  • Collects and analyzes data and develops decision support software, services, or products.
  • Develops and supplies optimal time, cost, and logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Administration, Global Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) creating social media data/technology platforms using Python to leverage for business insights, data visualization and AI/ML models.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Administration, Global Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) creating social media data/technology platforms using Python to leverage for business insights, data visualization and AI/ML models.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") building technology platforms - end-to-end pipelines for analyzing social media platform data by leveraging 3rd party APIs to ingest data into cloud technologies - Snowflake/Google Cloud - using programming languages - python/pyspark.
  • DE performing data standardization, transformation and stacking of raw data (customer, behavioral, and geographic) fetched from native and 3rd party digital and social platforms into cloud platforms - Snowflake/Google Cloud; and creating advanced visualization modules, and automating dashboards using Google Data Studio.
  • DE collaborating with business stakeholders and analysts to understand business and marketing questions related to social media content performance, social media conversation from target audiences - customers and prospects and social media trends; and utilizing gathered requirements to act as an analytics and data subject matter expert to develop analytical solutions, frameworks and roadmaps to package business, market and social intelligence to key stakeholders helping drive marketing and business KPIs and decisions.
  • DE building, and maintaining AI/ML models - classification models and time series promotional response models to analyze social media conversation sentiment and topics, and also predict audience responses to social media promotional content based on statistical analyses such as regression, causality testing and K-means clustering; and interpreting model output and responses, and package analysis and insights to key stakeholders to drive decisions related to content themes, promotional tactics to drive marketing KPIs and outcomes.
