Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is a member of the Business Performance Measurement (BPM) team. BPM's mission is to deliver actionable, data driven analysis and insights across the enterprise, enabled by a high quality, stable and robust data environment. With a vision to empower a data-driven culture where enterprise-wide insights fuel innovation, strategic growth and inform decision making across the organization. The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the growth and enablement of BPM data to our customers.

  • Outstanding critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Strong people skills, proactively building consultative relationships across Finance, the business and Technology.
  • Ability to gain subject matter expertise in a short time period and apply institutional knowledge to develop quality analytics.
  • Proven ability, flexibility, and resourcefulness to manage several priorities in a deadline driven environment, having comfort with ambiguity.
  • Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approach.
  • Ability to prioritize and drive work in a highly matrixed environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree plus 3+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful record in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Experience in finance or business analysis roles across multiple businesses.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to envision the 'big picture' while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and synthesize/translate for Technology consumption.
  • Experience with end user/business acceptance testing.
  • Demonstrate confidence in explaining, defending and/or challenging analytical findings.
  • Ability to work independently and solve a variety of moderately complex problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to 'tell the story' and communicate effectively with Finance and business partners at varying levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Data analytical skills leveraging Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and/or other business intelligence and data visualization tools preferred.
