- Brokerage Reconciliation Representative
The Role
The Brokerage Reconciliation Representative position is focused on problem resolution as it relates to Fidelity Brokerage activity and related products. This role is responsible for ensuring the reconciliation, balancing, exceptions, and analysis of the general ledger activity/bank activity for the assigned accounts are completed accurately with daily deadlines.
Training will be held on all aspects of money movements, products reconciled, and underlying processing systems related to the general ledgers. The ledger activity that is reconciled ranges from physical check deposits, imaged check deposits, wires, ACH's, funding/investment instruments, currency trades, SWAP instruments, disbursements, and Fidelity specific products. The representative proactively reviews open item processing that might result in potential exposure/loss and act accordingly with business partners to resolve the outstanding monetary and processing issues according to established departmental procedures. Strong research and communication skills are important for representatives to correctly explain issues to internal business partners, banks, correspondent clients, and leadership.

Candidates communicate well with business partners and be able to fully articulate the issue and resolution steps. If the problem is not immediately resolved it is required to escalate to ensure all appropriate people are notified so a new course of action can be identified.
Representatives look for process improvemtns both within the department as well as suggestions for our processing areas and business partners. All are expected to be proactive and work independently.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Experience in brokerage/finance/banking preferred
- Communication and influence skills
- Must have outstanding work ethic and time management skills

- You are a conscientious problem solver with excellent organization and time management skills
- You have experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

The Team
FI Operational Accounting Bank reconciliation group is a back-office accounting and finance group which is responsible for supporting various Fidelity company's internal and external reconciliations processes. The group observes: external audit standards, internal compliance controls, compliance to Federal legislations, SEC regulatory requirements, and strict adherence to the Fidelity code of ethics.
