Job Description:

The Role

The primary responsibilities of the Associate Analyst, Transfer Agent Operations, is supporting oversight of investment operations, data management, reporting, and general support of investment programs. Process operations transactions in close collaboration with team members and business partners. Assist with tasks linked to process improvement, audit, tax, and regulatory activities

  • Oversee and maintain application used to receive shareholder activity from Fidelity transfer agents, consolidate data and send information to downstream business partners
  • Serve as a liaison between downstream business partners and transfer agents in order to research shareholder activity and validate transaction processing
  • Monitor transfer agent corrective processing to ensure compliance with the Fidelity Fund Dilution Policy (as-of transaction processing)
  • Reconcile all Fidelity funds to ensure summarized transfer agent outstanding shares correspond with reported fund outstanding shares
  • Work with transfer agents on price protection of transactions for prior day processing
  • Reconcile dividend and capital gain distributions for Fidelity funds
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports on shareholder activity to internal business partners
  • Reduce departmental exposure to risk and create employee time savings by implementing process improvements that allow for manual functions to become automated

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • B.S. / B.A. Finance / Accounting / Business Administration preferred
  • 2+ years of financial services industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with transfer agent processing and support
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel macro experience strongly preferred)
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentations
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and superiors to address and resolve issues

The Team

The TACC Analyst role is part of the TACC Operations team within the Fidelity Fund Investment Operations business unit. The primary responsibilities of the team include providing support and oversight for transfer agent activity processing, dilution monitoring, and fund events for Fidelity's 40-Act mutual funds, Canadian mutual fund trusts, and institutional investment products. We work closely with several different operations teams and internal business partners including Fund Accounting, Fund Transfer Agent Treasury, and the Fidelity transfer agent channels.
