Job Description:
Seeking an Associate Software Engineer that thrives in an environment where we are using innovative technologies to support our digital transformation journey. Member of a team engaged in building our future state benefits eligibility platform that helps millions of Fidelity's customers to participate in their employer's retirement plan. Member of an agile engineering scrum team working in a fast-paced environment, closely collaborating with product, architecture, and other engineering teams. We will provide a mentor for you as you learn to navigate your new role. We offer dedicated time each month to investigate new technologies.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology field
- Passion for designing and building software applications
- Participates in formal reviews of architecture, design, and code
- Provides support for software releases into production environments
- Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies is appreciated
- Cloud certification such as AWS/Azure is a plus

- You have development skills in Java, preferably using Spring Boot Framework.
- Experience developing software utilizing relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server) is a plus.
- Experience with Test automation for unit, functional and non-functional testing (Postman, SOATEST, SOASTA, Cucumber) is a plus.
- You have ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements.
- You have ability to develop technical artifacts based on analysis of business and systems requirements.
- You have excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization.

Fidelity's hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Having the majority of our associates work onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture.
