The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!
We are a software business unit specializing in developing communication-based products. Our offerings include voice, chat, task management, and forums. The software we create for clients is compatible with Android 8 and above, iOS 14 and above, as well as web platforms. The client interactions are facilitated through cloud-based services.
This is intern role is a hybrid opportunity based in Lincolnshire, IL and will be working onsite a minimum of 3 days a week. Zebra does not offer relocation or housing budget.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities:
- Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
- Increase technology knowledge and skills
- Develop team-based work proficiencies
- Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities
As a Summer Intern in the Software BU team, you will be responsible for the following -
- Partner with team to create a cross-platform application using flutter to create an experience on both android and iOS.
- Create functionality using the following:
- User authentication through IDP.
- Use push notification services to send data.
- Use capabilities to keep data synchronized.
- Help Create an intuitive and visually appealing using ZDS standards.
- Backend integration to connect the application to Zebra Services.
- Build out timeline and milestones based on feature release that you will be creating.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Must have an anticipated graduation date between May 2025-December 2026 for undergraduate degree programs.
- Experience/ Prior internship in development using Flutter OR GO OR Python is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to work in the Lincolnshire, IL office a minimum of three days a week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is highly desired.
