Job Summary

Position: Human Resources Specialist, GS 7/9

Location: Washington, DC

Salary: GS-7 $55,924.00-$72,703.00

GS-9 $68,405.00-$88,926.00

Work Hours: Varies by Unit

Full Performance Level: GS-9

Number of Positions Available: Multiple

Duration: Full Time/Permanent

Key Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have graduated May 2023 to June 2025 (veterans May of 2019 to June 2025)
  • Must have graduating GPA of no less than 2.95 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Some travel may be required
  • Must not be a current, permanent FBI employee
  • All applicants must verify the completion of the basic education requirement by submitting a copy of college transcripts by the closing date of the vacancy announcement

Education

All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Transcripts are required for the FBI's Collegiate Hiring Initiative and must be submitted with your resume to be considered.

GS-7: Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or one (1) full year of graduate level education. Superior academic achievement is the completion of all requirements of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average of 3.0 or higher as recorded on an official transcript, or based on coursed completed during the final two years of curriculum, or (3) honor society membership.

GS-9: Applicant must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.

Automatic Disqualifiers

a. Percent of time worked in the particular position (cannot conflict with main duties)
b. The month/year work began
c. Frequency worked (i.e., daily, monthly, etc.)
d. Specific duties performed
