Job Description
As a valued colleague on our Payroll team, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll tax filings and amendments for multi-state purposes across fifty states filed by a payroll vendor. You will manage federal, state, and local payroll tax notices, including tracking, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and resolving with appropriate root cause analysis.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Finance Shared Services - Accounting - Lead Payroll Tax Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while collaborating with people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Research and reconcile payroll taxes for each payroll period and Quarterly tax filings.
- Assist payroll team with new state registrations for State Income tax and Unemployment.
- Assist payroll team in resolution for Federal and State Tax notices.
- Oversee Year-end Processing (W-2, W-2c processing).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
- Resolve payroll tax discrepancies and errors by investigating, collecting, and analyzing information.
- Recommend new processes to improve performance and efficiency within the payroll tax function.
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Assist with special projects as required.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience using Workday Payroll and vendor tax portal to maintain penalty tax notice and amendment status
Desired Experience
- CPP Certified or candidate
